Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green (R-GA) has called for the immediate impeachment of Attorney General Merrick Garland and for the DOJ to follow the law and lose funding to investigate Trump.
Greene tweeted:
Impeach Merrick Garland!

Republicans should disallow any funding for special counsel Merrick Garland and reimburse any DOJ division that acts on behalf of the Democratic Party as taxpayer-funded campaigning for the Democratic 2024 presidential nomination.

Because of the few Republicans in the House, Merrick Garland will not be impeached, so Representative Green can forget about that. Depriving the DOJ of funds will not do either.
Democrats should use the lame duck session to pass special funding for the Justice Department as a national security issue.
What does Greenie want Garland to prosecute?
It seems she wants him to be prosecuted for following the law.
Merrick Garland appointed a special counsel because that’s what he should do if there’s a potential conflict of interest. The special counsel is not an abuse of power, as Senator Ted Cruz was falsely questioned. The special counsel is used to conduct an independent external investigation.
If the DOJ’s review of these cases concludes that Trump did nothing wrong, a special counsel would not be needed.
The appointment of the special counsel is an indication that an indictment is coming, which is why Marjorie Taylor Green blew the gasket and demanded that Garland be indicted for trying to threaten national security by withholding DOJ funds.
