The New York Times reported On some of the more exciting early hires for Gallego’s campaign, “Democrats in Arizona have made moves in the past to support Ms. Cinema’s Democratic challenger. Mr. Gallego’s campaign team includes Democratic consultants who worked on Sen. Mark Kelly’s re-election bid in Arizona, as well as Raphael Warnock in Georgia and John Fetterman in Pennsylvania’s 2022 Senate campaigns. Mr. Gallego’s campaign also took on Chuck Rocha, a longtime Democratic strategist focused on mobilizing Latino voters.

When faced with an unpopular challenger like Sen. Sinema, some Democrats’ energy is to donate heavily, but it’s important to look at the type of group that can help determine whether the challenger can win.
The lowest Senate reelection rate in the last two decades is 79 percent.. It’s hard to beat Senate incumbents, which is why serious winning campaigns need quality staffers who have won Senate races before.
Representative Gallego has recruited people from the Mark Kelly campaign, the Raphael Warnock campaign and the John Fetterman campaign. All three campaigns were Democratic success stories in purple states.
