Kimmel said: “Donald Trump is going to be in court today in a New York court where he’s going to be dismissed on one of the 70 or 80 counts he’s been charged with. Leticia James, whose little thumb was accused of fraud, wrote that she was heading downtown to meet a racist who the New York attorney general said would be at 9. 30 AM Trump is upset because usually when he meets racists, it’s at his Mar-a-Lago home, but this is just one of the many people Trump has to deal with. Trump now has more active issues in New York than Covid.

There is some truth to Kimmel’s joke as there have been new developments. E. Jean Carroll defamation impeaching Trump; The former president was removed from office by the New York attorney general on fraud charges, and is being investigated by special counsel Jack Smith after the 2020 election, along with new reports about Trump’s fundraising and an investigation into classified documents.
Unlike previous Trump-dominant news cycles, this one is not being driven by Trump’s misbehavior and drama. What is happening is that the decade-long criminal investigation is the most unprecedented legal storm a former president has ever faced in American history. The former president could be charged with violating election laws in Georgia next month or so.
Trump’s legal woes are bad, and they could soon get worse.
