Fox’s Tucker Carlson pushed fake news on his show about the success of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, and Rep. Ted Lieu (D-CA) called him out.
Liu tweeted.
I have attended many classified briefings about Ukraine. What Tucker Carlson said was a lie. https://t.co/awLzqc6XA8

Carlson knowingly repeated Russian-altered information on the show stating that for every Russian 7 Ukrainian causes suffered.

The numbers are reversed, the real numbers are seven Russians dying for every Ukrainian.
Tucker Carlson and his producers knew the exact number and lied.

For those like Rep. Lieu who have been in the briefings and know the facts, it is important to call out Tucker Carlson’s lies and misinformation. A Fox News host is trying to help Putin win by undermining US support for Ukraine.
Tucker Carlson is spreading dangerous anti-democratic propaganda to at least a few million Americans every night.
It’s easy for elected officials to ignore Carlson, but ignoring the threat doesn’t make it go away. American democracy will only be saved when the people rise up together to correct and condemn the propaganda.
