Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) wasted taxpayer money by holding a Judiciary Committee field hearing in Manhattan to attack DA Alvin Bragg, but even the conservative media largely ignored him.
Newsmax showed opening statements from Jordan and committee member Jerry Nadler before they interrupted.
Here’s their coverage of Nadler’s opening statement:
Jerry Nader, a member of the Judiciary Committee, said at the Jim Jordan Manhattan hearing, “It is a shame that the Republicans on this committee are using violent crime as an excuse to play New York tourists and insult the district attorney.” pic.twitter.com/xufXBvEaWq

No one covered Lil Jimin’s hearing in NYC except for Fox and Newsmax. This was the best he could get from the WSJ. pic.twitter.com/KSn4fwhjFw

My own checks of the hours-long hearing revealed that Newsmax would show the hearing on the screen for a moment or two as they spoke by voice.

Fox News also seems to have very little interest in the hearing. It was not live on CNN and MSNBC. C-SPAN only showed the hearing on its app and website.
Jordan’s moving the committee to Manhattan would give DA Alvin Bragg a larger national platform to attack his motivations for impeaching Trump. rather than House Judiciary Democrats attended the hearing, dashing Jordan’s dreams of defending Trump on violent crime and gun violence.
It was so bad for the committee’s Republicans that Democrats were complaining that they were talking too much about gun violence.
Republicans complain because Democrats are trying to talk about guns and violent crime, and they’re blasting Jim Jordan’s pretense of attacking Alvin Bragg to defend Trump. pic.twitter.com/kWJqkJUsU4

Chairman Jordan intended to use his power to undermine the credibility of Alvin Bragg, but it was the House Judiciary Committee Republicans who showed that they had no credibility by participating in a hearing that was not favorable to Trump.
