Special counsel Jack Smith appears to be digging deeper into the attempted coup after the 2020 election, with his office interviewing close Trump adviser Boris Epstein for a second day.
The interview focused mainly on former President Donald Trump and his allies’ efforts to reverse Trump’s 2020 election loss. The second day of questioning was already planned, the sources said.

Prosecutors’ questions focused on Epstein’s relationships with Trump’s former lawyers Rudy Giuliani, Kenneth Chesebrough and John Eastman, sources said.
The people the special counsel’s office is questioning are the inner circle who conspired to overthrow Trump’s election. Only former Trump chief of staff Mark Meadows is missing from the list.

It is not known where the Special Counsel’s investigation into the coup attempt will take place. Public fraud is being investigated, and Donald Trump is not being considered above the law.
The DOJ will bring criminal charges in connection with the coup attempt, it is impossible to see how Donald Trump was left off the list of accused.
Trump was the centerpiece and beneficiary of the election.
Jack Smith and his detectives seem to be leaving no stone unturned and are very close to Donald Trump.
The investigation is moving quickly, and if the goal is still to finish before the 2024 election, criminal charges could come within months.
