Hours have passed, and Donald Trump hasn’t posted a single word about Tucker Carlson being fired from Fox News, but CNN has celebrated firing Don Lemon.
Trump’s only comment about the cable news changes involved a lemon. The former president posted on Truth Social:
Good news: “Don Lemon, the dumbest person on television, has finally been fired from fake news CNN.” My only question is, how long did it take?
The news about Carlson and Lemon broke just minutes apart, but Trump chose to comment only on the African-American journalist’s firing.
Trump is choosing not to use his broad platform to defend Carlson or criticize Fox News. Criticizing Fox has been a favorite pastime of Trump’s until recently, when they began bringing him back to the network.
Trump’s silence is on. Carlson Now the former Fox News host is suggesting he hates him and is well aware of rumors that Tucker Carlson could one day be the Republican presidential nominee.
Sometimes, what’s not said is the most telling, and Donald Trump said nothing about Tucker Carlson.
