When ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel accused Senator Ted Cruz of trying to steal Trump’s election, Cruz responded with an apology to an American.

Kimmel said:
Abby Grossberg says she has about 90 audio tapes, including a tape of Ted Cruz talking to Maria Battiromo. Ted specifically detailed a plan to overturn the election in 2020, which includes refusing to certify Congress investigating fraud claims on January 6th and leaving the commission to elect a president of the United States.
Cruz said on tape that it was no big deal, he said the same thing in public the next morning and then a few days later on the Senate floor, which he said was a hell of an excuse. What an apology for an American. Hey, Ted next time you go to Cancun stay in Cancun ok?
We also heard that these tapes of Cruz plots were turned over to Special Counsel Jack Smith. For Donald Trump’s election.
I mean, it’s a sitcom right there. You put them in a cell.

Late-night comedians can make fun of anything on the news, but there’s nothing funny about a senator plotting to overturn an election. It turns out that coup attempts for late-night singles aren’t a source of great humor.
Cruz’s public pretext for plotting the coup doesn’t help. It just shows how willing Ted Cruz is to undermine democracy.
Ted Cruz It’s truly an American apology.
