A federal appeals court has rejected Trump’s appeal to bar Mike Pence from testifying before special counsel Jack Smith.
A federal appeals court on Wednesday night ordered former Vice President Mike Pence to appear before a grand jury investigating efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election, denying a request by former President Donald Trump’s lawyers to bar his testimony.

The order by a three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals was sealed, and none of the parties were named in online court records. But the appeal in the sealed case came just days after a lower court judge ordered Mr Pence to testify against the Trump team.

If Trump had nothing to hide and had not said anything that could be used as evidence against him in a criminal trial, there would be no reason for him to try to block Pence’s testimony. Donald Trump is trying to convince America that he is being framed while he has a lot to hide.
Pence has stopped fighting a subpoena from Jack Smith and said last Sunday that he would follow the law when asked about it, words Trump probably didn’t say and doesn’t want to hear.
Former Vice President Pence was able to veto the 1/6 committee, but the Justice Department is a different ball game.
Pence will be required to testify and say things he has never said before to the special counsel.
Mike Pence wants to be president one day, but more than that, Mike Pence doesn’t want to lie to Trump and possibly go to jail.
