A former FBI supervisor has been arrested on multiple charges related to the 1/6 attack, trespassing on the Capitol and encouraging rioters to kill police.

CNN reported:

In the year Wise, who was an FBI special agent and supervisory special agent from 2004 to 2017, entered the Capitol on Jan. 6, assaulting officers and encouraging other rioters to attack law enforcement, investigators said.

…

“You people are disgusting. I’m ex–I’m ex-law enforcement,” Wise told the officers during an interaction captured on body-worn cameras. “You are disgusting. You are a Nazi. You are the Gestapo. You can’t see it. … shame on you! shame on you! shame on you!”

As Prosecutor Wiese encouraged other rioters who attacked the police in front of him, he shouted, “Kill them! Kill them! Kill them!

Trump has radicalized current and former law enforcement units. The Secret Service destroyed evidence of the 1/6 attack that was supposed to protect themselves and Trump.

The 1/6 attack was not an Antifa or FBI operation, as conspiracy theorists claim. Some of them were attacks on American democracy by people who were or were in law enforcement.

People sworn to protect and serve turned on fellow law enforcement officers and tried to attack and kill them or, in Wise’s case, encouraged others to attack and kill them.

In the years since 1/6, federal law enforcement has been arresting domestic terrorism suspects involved in the attacks. If Republicans take back the White House in 2024, the arrest will end.

Republicans must not be returned to power to protect democracy and hold those who attacked it accountable.
