MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough lambasted Gov. Greg Abbott for continuing to make more guns available and easily accessible as the gun homicide rate in Texas continues to skyrocket.
Joe Scarborough video:
Scarborough said on MSNBC’s Morning Joe:
He’s always gone. He is always wrong. It’s always about guns. He will do anything. He makes the bait and switch. Compare Texas’ mental health care to any other in the world. By the way, there are mental health problems in Belgium. There are mental health problems in Britain. Don’t you think there are mental health problems in London? There are no gunshots in London like in Texas, every day, it seems. This guy talks about shooting illegal immigrants, first of all, horrible, and you talk to people who want this slaughter to continue, they want AR-15s on the streets for everyone.
“Oh well, you never talk about how the shooter is an illegal immigrant,” they say. Well, yes, let’s talk about this. How did the guy who got fired four times, four times get an AR-15? How did you get the other weapons? How are all these people getting equipment? You know, the thing is, Abbott does anything but talk about it — that’s right in front of him, gun homicides in Texas have gone up since 2014. All this guy does is say he wants more guns in the state of Texas. He is sick. This is a disease.
….
She was really sick… sick.
….
This isn’t even gun culture. This is the extreme, extreme version. I grew up in a gun culture where people go hunting in the fall. This was normal. There’s nothing conventional about these easy-to-handle AR-15s that even a four-times-deported illegal immigrant would feel free to shoot in his backyard before slaughtering.

Joe Scarborough will never be mistaken for a liberal, but his comments exemplify the overwhelming national consensus that Republicans like Greg Abbott are killing Americans because they cater to the gun industry.
Scarborough was right. The mass shooting situation in Texas is dire, but not as good as anywhere else in the United States, as even states with strong gun laws must contend with Republican-led states where guns are readily available to all. Who do you want?
Governors like Greg Abbott and Ron DeSantis are killing people with fake gun politics. Nothing will change until the voters decide to punish the extremists they see. Political benefits To enable mass shooters in their territory.
